Downloading and Installing the Software Most poker sites use free downloadable software for their online poker rooms. This means that all images and sounds load from your computer when you play. This increases the speed and playability of the game, and saves you from downloading all the game data each time you want to play poker online. Generally, on startup, the site will look for software updates, as most of the sites are continually updating and improving their software. Some sites even change the look of the table and characters occasionally. Downloading Instructions
The following instructions are common with most poker rooms for downloading the software. The example below is how to install Carbon Poker Software.
Internet Explorer: Click here to visit the download page. Then click the FREE DOWNLOAD button to start the download and select "Run" or "Save" on the File Download pop-up window. If you selected "Run", Internet Explorer will automatically launch the Setup program once the download is complete. Follow the directions to finish the installation. If you selected "Save" choose a location to save Poker.exe. Once the download is complete, locate and run Poker.exe and follow the directions to finish the installation. If you can not find where you saved the file, go to the Start menu > Search > Files or Folders and enter Poker.exe. Once the software is installed, double-click the "CarbonPoker.com" icon on your desktop, or run it from your Start menu (Start > Programs > CarbonPoker.com). You will now be able to create an account and start playing at CarbonPoker.com.
Firefox:
Click here to start the download and select "Save" on the download pop-up window and click "Ok". If you have your Firefox Download Options set to "Ask me where to save every file", select an easy to remember location (such as the desktop) and click "Save". You can check your download options in Firefox by going to Tools > Options > Downloads Once the download is complete, locate and run Poker.exe and follow the directions to finish the installation. If you can not find where you saved the file, go to the Start menu > Search > Files or Folders and enter Poker.exe. Once the software is installed, double-click the "CarbonPoker.com" icon on your desktop, or run it from your Start menu (Start > Programs > CarbonPoker.com).
