Paul Phillips Biography
Paul Phillips Poker Player Biography
Paul "Dot Com" Phillips is a rare breed of professional poker player - he doesn't need to play for the money. Having made a fortune by selling stock in the internet company he was working for, Paul became a self-made millionaire before entering the professional poker arena. The fact that Paul doesn't need the money hasn't stopped him from being very successful as a poker player. However, Paul has had some rough moments, as well. He was banned from the World Series of Poker in 2000, after making comments about the method the Horseshoe Casino used to split the entry money between players. He was reinstated in late 2001, but hasn't played in many WSOP events since that time.
Among Paul's most notable accomplishments are the following:
- has placed in the money in 7 World Series of Poker events since 1999
- 2002 - 2nd in World Series of Poker Triple Draw Lowball - $24,820
- 2003 - 2nd at World Poker Tour event at Bicycle Casino - $293,550
