Poker Screen Shot

How to Capture a Poker Screen Shot

Have you ever tried to tell a friend about a brilliant play or a bad beat, but found you couldn't quite get it right?  The following instructions will show you how to capture a poker screen shot, memorialize that awesome (or devastating) hand.  You will be able to save the screen shot into a jpeg file and email it to a friend or send it to us at pokersreenshots@texasholdem-sites.com for inclusion on our best poker hand page.  Being able to show your poker buddies a great hand makes the game all that more enjoyable.

1. There are 2 ways to capture a poker screen shot - the entire screen or only the window you have open in the foreground (eg.the poker table you are playing on).  To capture the entire screen hit the PRINT SCREEN or PRNT SCRN (on some) button on the top right area of your keyboard.  To capture just the window you are currently using (foreground window), press the ALT key and PRINT SCREEN key together. You have captured you poker screen!

2. Now you will need to copy your poker shot.  You will not notice anything after hitting the PRINT SCREEN key.  This is okay.  It has stored your poker screen image in memory.  Open a program called PAINT.  It is under the START button (bottom left) then PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - PAINT (see below).

3. After the program opens you are now ready to copy your poker screen shot.  Press CTRL and V together.  You should see you poker screen and table you are playing on.

4. Select FILE (top left see photo below) and save as any name and location you want. JPEG is normally a good default format to save in.

5. Save this picture to wherever you choose.  We recommend saving to the desktop, as it is easy to find.  You may even want to make a folder called poker screenshots, and save your best to it.

If you have any questions, email us and we will assist you.
